He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Childs and Lila Childs (Peters); his former wife Joanne (O'Dell); and his siblings, Elaine Butterfield, Lucy White, Sherman Childs and Floyd Childs.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Robert Childs (Cindy) of Ticonderoga, NY and Sandra Woods (Chet) of Mineville, NY; his grandchildren, Wendy Sargent (Ronald), Bobbi-Jo Maye (Jake), Buffy Marcil (Tom), Timothy Childs (Emily), Sarah Ezzo and Emily Ezzo; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Troy, Brianna, Devyn, Dylan, Meegyn, Bailey and Dava; and his great great grandchildren, Khonner, Parker and Jaxon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
