With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Norma G. Fernandez of Port Henry, New York, born in Schuyler Falls, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Norma left this world on April 13, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband James A. Fernandez; her parents, Laura Norton and Samual Mitchell; and her siblings, Janice Bucell and Hermie Mitchell.
She is survived by: her sister Joyce; her children, Deborah Smith (Phillip), Patty Allen (late Steve), Cindy Shpur (late Michael), Donna Kirsch (late Tom), Diane McCormick (late Bernard), James Fernandez (Brenda) and Timothy Fernandez (Laurie); and her grandchildren, Tara Michaels, Sophie Kirsch, Nichole Fernandez, Aaron, Andrew, Cameron Smith, Travis Shpur, Evan Allen and Hayden Fernandez. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (12 St Patrick's Pl, Port Henry, NY 12974). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mineville VFW.
