She is survived by: her mother Betty Elliott of New Kingston; her husband John Helmer; her sons, Daniel Helmer of Esopus and Benjamin Helmer of Queens; and her siblings, Marjorie Trelease (Bill) of Delhi, Sally Scrimshaw (Roy) of Delhi, Mary McCormick (Lowell) of Ponchatoula, LA, James Elliott (Andrea) of New Kingston and Lynn Elliott of Bovina. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
