He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick O'Donnell and Marion O'Donnell (Wouters); his grandson Gregory Zenzel; his son-in-law David Zenzel; and his siblings, Marie Kelekian, Dolores McClary, John and Michael O'Donnell.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Rosenkranse; his children, Susan Leiching (Joseph), Michelle Zenzel, Patrick O'Donnell (Kathy) and Timothy O'Donnell (Linda); his sisters, Patricia Groppuso and Nancy O'Donnell; and his grandchildren, David Leiching (Paula), Timothy Leiching (Krissy), Elisabeth Hedges (Jonathan), Maureen Cassady, Aileen Lane (Timothy), Kevin O'Donnell MD (Theresa), Deborah Haag (William) and Jeffrey Zenzel. He is also survived by his 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
