He is survived by: his children, Donald Van Loan (Michelle) of Ulster Park, Diane Paradies (Barry) of Port Ewen, Jody Van Loan of Port Ewen and David Van Loan (Kristin) of Port Ewen; his siblings, Peg Wayne (Michael) of Texas, Jay VanLoan (Nancy) of Port Ewen and Vincent "Butch" VanLoan (Shireen) of Ulster Park; his grandchildren, Jessica Benjamin (Justin), Anne Marie Van Loan of Kingston, Cody Van Loan (Joey), Nicole Molinaro (Eric) of Kingston, Megan Gillespie (Matthew), Bailey Nastaszewski and Lexi Nastaszewski (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Dray, Decker of Justin, Audrianna, Logan, Wesley, Delaney and Penelope.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Don's memory to either: Town of Esopus American Legion Post 1298, the Port Ewen Fire Dept, or Town of Esopus Volunteer Ambulance Squad.
