He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Helen; his siblings, Michael, William and Anne; his brother-in-law Edward Murray; his niece Pamela Murray; his daughter Karen Kline; and also Clark.

He is survived by: his sisters, Murray Ashbery and Rosalie Ashbery (Jim); his sister-in-law Joy Chuma; his son-in-law Tome Kline; and his grandchildren, Jessica Burns (Joe), Shannon Basket (Josh), Johnathon Buckland (Jessica), Britini Merrill, Ashley Kline, Brett Merrill, Samantha Butler (Blake) and Shawn Merrill. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
