“Steve was the youngest of my mother’s cousins so we considered him a cousin rather than an uncle. Steve loved to laugh and he valued family above all else (even though navigating an Italian family is a bit like navigating a minefield). We road together to work for 2 summers in the late 70s. He would pick me up at 6 am and if I was looking peaked (I was 18), he would laugh and laugh. Rest in peace cousin!”
