She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dempson and Emily Watson Dempson; and her siblings, Walter Dempson, Minnie Mobley and Rena Mobley.
She is survived by: her husband Lokey Kendall of Port Chester, NY.; and her children, Melvin Dempson (Violet) of Port Chester, Jeffrey Dempson (Rachel) of Georgia, Jerry Dempson of Port Chester, Craig Dempson (Debbie) of Connecticut, Mattie Gooden (Eric) of Mount Vernon, NY, Doris Tassy of Port Chester and Marissa Saxon (Jonathan) of Trenton, NJ.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
