He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Murray Smith; his mother Mary; his brother Kevin; his wife Deborah Armstrong Connolly; his daughter Kristen Connolly Vadas; his grandchildren, Lucian and Astrid; and his sisters, Carroll Pugmire and Mara Connolly Taft. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has chosen the Nicholl Fellowship endowing young writers to launch their careers.
