We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2022, at the age of 81, Robert P. Bannister (Port Byron, New York), born in Elmira, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Layton Bannister; his wife Shirley Bannister; his brothers, James and Stanley Bannister; his son Gary Bannister; and his granddaughter Fawn Mower Gordon.
He is survived by: his close friend Tammy Murdock; his children, Debra Sherman (Gary), Susan Morrison (Tom) of Wellsburg, Wendy Bannister (Cong Nguyen) of Weedsport, Robert Jr. Bannister (Tracy) of Auburn and Scot Bannister (Patti) of Auburn; his brother Richard Bannister; and his sister-in-law Helen Bannister of Montour Falls. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
