She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Edward Johnson and Laura B. Hollenbeck Johnson; her siblings, Eddie Johnson and Mary Parsons; and her granddaughters, Laura Dowd and Mindy Colf.

She is survived by: her husband Vernon Congdon; her children, Lori Phillips, Valerie Harnisch (Fran), Scott Congdon (Pauline), Lisa Genter (Brian) and Brandon Congdon (Jamie); her sister Esther Nodine; her sister-in-law Evie Johnson; and her grandchildren, Lenny Schmidt (Corinne), Mark Schmidt (Carrie), Jessica VanEpps (Kevin), Jeff Schmidt (Cheryl), Amber Congdon (Jordan Lever), Lauren Colf (Josh), Shara Dowd (Peter Davidson), Zach Congdon (Courtney), Zach Garrigan (Ally Weaver), Abigail Congdon (Kyle McNabb) and Nolen Congdon. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
