It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barry G. Shufelt of Poland, New York, who passed away on August 19, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola Shufelt (Griffith) and C. S. "Red" Shufelt; and his brother-in-law Tom Lalyer. He is survived by: his wife Sarah "Sally" Hoffman; his children, Leslie Irwin (Jeffrey) of Poland and Wade Shufelt (Tanya) of East Syracuse; his grandchildren, Morgen, Shiane Irwin, Meghan and Zachary Shufelt; and his siblings, Neal Shufelt (Patricia), Seam Shufelt (Kathie) and Cindy Lalyer of Remsen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
Calling hours at the Autenrith Funeral Home, 7479 Main Street, Newport, will be held on Friday, August 21 from 4 to 7 p. m. Please wear a face covering and understand that social distancing and capacity protocols will be in place due to current restrictions.
