He was predeceased by: his parents, John McMeel Sr. and Mary Ursula O'Brien McMeel; and his brother Gerald J. McMeel. He is survived by: his sisters, Joyce McCormick (James) and Averill Park (Janice Diduch). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
