It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Raymond Conklin of Pleasant Valley, New York, who passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Conklin and Kathryn Doyle Conklin; and his brother Melvin Conklin. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Owens of Pleasant Valley, Melissa Gilroy (Richard) of Pleasant Valley and John Conklin of Pine Plains; his grandsons, Bill Owens III, Dean Gilroy (Julia), Jon Gilroy and Tyler Owens (Arianya); his great grandchildren, Billy IV, Matthew, Elizabeth, Adam and Rose; his nephew Scott Conklin; his niece Teri Townson; and also Joy Phebus.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (1605 Main St, Pleasant Valley, NY 12569). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1576 Main St, Pleasant Valley, NY 12569).
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed at the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church or the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association.
