He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gerald Girard and Patricia Girard (Lajoy); his wife Helen Wood; his stepson Roy Wood; and his siblings, James "Jim" Girard of Plattsburgh, Gary, Theresa Girard of DeLeon Springs, Cindy and Skip Pender of Deland. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
