He was predeceased by: his sister Kathryn McCoy; and his grandmother Erla Sampica. He is survived by: his parents, Patrick McCoy and Jennifer McCoy (Franklin); his sister Lindsey McCoy (Alex Ignacio); his stepgrandfather Jeffrey (Karen Sampica); and his grandparents, Robert (Sarah Franklin) and Suzanne Franklin. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
