It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Thume (Plattsburgh, New York), born in Fort Ann, New York, who passed away on July 1, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Osborne and Ruth Osborne (Blaisdell); her stepmother Freida Osborne (John Thume); her children, Patricia Kivett and David Thume; and her brother Walter Osborne.
She is survived by: her husband John Thume; her children, Mary Anne Gaul (Greg) and Stephen Thume (Kathi); her children-in-law, Michael Kivett and Christine Thume; her great grandchildren, Chloe, Gemma, Micah, Tessa, Grant, Saoirse and Noah; her brother-in-law Robert Thume (Elaine); and also, Nathaniel Thume, Gabriel Thume (Jana), Elijah Thume (Brittany), Emily Gaul, Daniel Gaul (Stephanie), Grace Thume, William Thume, Sadie Thume, Ryan Kivett (Jordy), Kerry Adams (Sam) and Mildred Osborne. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and their spouses.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Peter's Church, Fitzpatrick Cancer Center or Hospice of the North Country.
