He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy V. Mitchell, Sr. and Yvonne Gallant Mitchell; his stepmother Marie Mitchell (Dame); his wife Laura Mitchell (Brooks); his son Bruce Dale Mitchell; his grandchildren, Christopher Joel Mitchell and Emily Marie Burdo; his son-in-law Kenny Burdo; his brother Donald Mitchell; and his stepbrother Terry Brunell.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Straight (Kevin), Nancy Hamelin (Jack), Barbara Burdo, Jeffrey Mitchell (Peggy), Rebecca Hespell (Duane) and Joey Mitchell; his grandchildren, Corey Hamelin (Johanna), Michael Hamelin, Roy Mitchell, Jennifer Stefano (Josh), Nathan MacCallum, Sean Hespell and Trevor Hespell; his great grandchildren, Juniper, Lyla Stefano and Michaela Hamelin; his brother Richard Mitchell (Jill); and his sisters-in-law, Stella Mitchell and Barbara Brunell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
