He was predeceased by: his parents, Conwald Kiroy and Ruth Kiroy (Bailey); and his pet Brittany Spaniel. He is survived by: his sons, Richard L. Kiroy, Jr. (Amy) of Morrisonville and Bradley Kiroy (Brandy) of Plattsburgh; his stepdaughter Barbara VanDyck (Timothy) of Saratoga Springs; his grandchildren, Casey, Brett, Brandon, Nicolas, Kayla, Cole, Fahlin, Rans, Cassandra, Jesse, Max, Katie and Samuel; and his siblings, Ralph "Bill" Kiroy (Vivian) of Saranac, Conwald "Jack" Kiroy (Sue) of Rochester and Kathy Kiroy of Dannemora. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
