He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wells and Mary Wells (Harvey); his wife Denise; his children, Derna Laybourne (Wells) and Derrick Wells; his sisters, Geraldine Nero, Veronica St. Denis-Light, Kathryn Stone, Joan Harris and Sheila Schneider; and his brothers-in-law, Louie Nero, Donald St. Denis, Robert Light, Donald Stone, Leland Buckley and Robert Collins.
He is survived by: his daughter Debbie Wells; his siblings, Carol Buckley, Mary Collins, Lawrence Wells (Sandra), Charles Wells (Mathilde) and James Wells; his daughter-in-law Susan Wells; his grandchildren, Nina Averbeck (Ryan), Seth and Natasha Wells; and his great grandchildren, Conrad and Hazel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Country Honor Flight or Hospice of the North Country in care of Brown Funeral Home.
