She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Tavernier and Anna Tavernier (McNierney); her husband Donald F. Carey of George's Church; and her siblings, Judy Tavernier, Joan Soulia (Thomas) and James Tavernier.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Frennier of Plattsburgh, Ellen Carey and Matthew Carey (Melissa) of Burke, NY; her grandsons, Carey Frennier (Amanda) of West Chazy and Casey Frennier of Longview, TX; her great grandchildren, Bryton and Adalyn Frennier; her brother Hugh Tavernier (Sondra) of Findley, OH; her nephews, Philip Soulia (Amanda) of Malone and Jon Tavernier of Charlotte, NC; and her niece Ann Gelting (Greg) of Charlotte, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Burke Fire Department.
