He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Elmer LaPorte and Rosemary LaPorte (Taylor); his granddaughter Tia Ducharme; and his son Stephen LaPorte (Lucia LaPorte). He is survived by: his significant other Betty Sears (Kalynn); his siblings, Belinda McKenna (Pat), John LaPorte and Mark LaPorte (MaryEllen); and his children, Patricia LaPorte (Floyd), Tracie LaPorte (Randy), Emma Squires (Andrei), Jason LaPorte and Richard Perales (Alicia). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
