With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Demarse (Plattsburgh, New York), born in Churubusco, New York, who passed away on August 26, 2021 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Demarse to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Demarse and Lillian Demarse (Decosse); and his wife Grace (Martin). He is survived by: his daughters, Dr. Joy Demarse (Keith Herkalo) and Jill (Michael Phaneuf); his grandchildren, James Rock, Jaclyne D. Purtell (Shawn) and Jorja Zielinski (Jacob); and his great grandchildren, Lincoln Purtell, Jackson, Edison, Hudson Zielinski, Astraea and Thane Wolfshadow. He is also survived by his four sisters, several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to March of Dimes, a charity of one's choice, or his daughters ask that you perform a random act of kindness as their dad was known to do.
