With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John D. Rugar (Plattsburgh, New York), who passed away on March 18, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though John may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Judi Lynch; his sons, John Rugar (Sherri) and Jeffery (Michelle); his grandchild Morgan Rugar; his grandson-in-law Davis Shoener; and his grandson Matthew Rugar (Matt).
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family, Donations may be made in his memory to the Dannemora Fire Department.
