It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joan Simard of Plattsburgh, New York, born in Cobleskill, New York, who passed away at the age of 78, on July 29, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Tillapaugh and Irene Tillapaugh (Mickle); and her sisters, Evelyn Arnold and Anne Broadwell (Charles). She is survived by: her husband Albert Simard Jr. Apparently; her daughter Dr. Denise Simard (Lori Dandrow); her grandson Tyrese Simard-Dandrow; and her siblings, Ruth Slater (Lee) and Alan Tillapuagh (Nancy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a world full of friends.
I'll always carry so many memories of watching her fly around the house and just always be doing something.... Joan would try to lighten a moment, when we were stressed about getting the COVID vaccine she used the guise of "getting ice cream" to get us there.
