He was predeceased by: his parents, James Johnson and Rita Johnson (Raynor); his children, Daryl Johnson and Susan Johnson-Snow; his sisters, Rita Gonyea, Loretta Johnson and Deborah Collins; and his daughter-in-law Kim Johnson-Trombley.
He is survived by: his children, James Johnson, Jr. (Missy) of Charleston, S. C., Steven Johnson (Tammy) of Keeseville and Carolyn LaValley (James) of Plattsburgh; and his sisters, Barbara Bradford, Judy Blandford and Linda Garrant (Richard). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
