He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Edwards and Helena Edwards (Bates); his wife Kathryn; his daughter Cheryl Tobrocke; and his brother Jimmy.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Linda Mitchell; his sons, Bruce Edwards (Linda Welch), Thomas Edwards (Mary), Michael "Mickey" Edwards (Carla) and Stewart "Mitch" Mitchell; and his son-in-law Kurt Tobrocke. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
