It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harriet L. Jeweler (Plattsburgh, New York), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on April 16, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Larkin and Georgiena Larkin; and her sisters, Joy Cavaliere (Chet) and Jean Nieman (John). She is survived by: her son Gary Frederick (Dana Beth); her daughter-in-law Alaine Nijenhuis; her daughter Dana Jeweler (Adrian Carr); her grandchildren, Mia Young (David), Amy Reil (Ricky), Adam Knef (Kiley), Ben Jeweler, Abby Jeweler and Kt Teaney; her great grandchildren, Kellen Young, Jace, Ellie, Aila Reil, Jonah and Oliver Knef; and her caregivers, Sodie Bombard, Angeline Trost, Shawntel Hayes, Penny Clarke and Terry Reil. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins and a great many friends.
She became an avid volunteer, also helping Literacy Volunteers, and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), both with tax services and with teaching aerobics to seniors with osteoporosis.
In lieu of flowers, Harriet's family requests donations made to Hospice of the North Country, The Foundation of CVPH, Lake Forest Retirement Community or Mountain Lake PBS in her honor.
