We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2025, at the age of 71, Harold F. Akey of Plattsburgh, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Akey and Doris Akey (Stanley) of AuSable Forks, NY.; his siblings, David and CeCeila; his sister-in-law Diane Stapleton; and his nephews, Steve Aubin, Joey Aubin (Erin Covey) and Roger Williams Jr. (Shawn Briner Summit).

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his mother-in-law Jackie Stryatameyer; his brother-in-law Jim Covey (Shawn); his children, Sam Akey (Kayla), Harold Akey (Kristy), Jodie Cook (Jason), Jamie McDonald (Mike) and Tonya; his grandchildren, Sam, Zak, Cameron, Kylie, Connor, Haley, Austin, Cooper, Alex, Danielle, Andrew, Matthew and Brooklyn; his sister Cheryl Aubin (Paul); and his nieces and nephews, Andrew Aubin (Kellie-Ann), David Briner James (Susan), Bobby Kerger, Craig Mitchell (Pattie), Theresa Drahovskey (Karl), Jessi Thwaits (Bill), Angie Ouimette (Bill), Jamie Ledwith (Ryan), Melissa Slagenweit, Ashlee Gordon (Josh), Nikki Ritchie (Nate), Sharon Briner Hewston, Jennifer Kerger and Brandi Wicks.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 1619 (219 Rand Hill Rd, Morrisonville, NY 12962).
