He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Mitchell and Aileen Mitchell; and his brothers, Wayne Mitchell, George Mitchell and Stacey Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Gael; his children, Megan Mitchell and Scott Mitchell; his sisters, Wendy Aubin and Jane Bashaw; and his stepson Ric Low. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
