He was predeceased by: his parents, Napolean Agnew and Melvina Agnew (Soulia); his wife Wanita Agnew (Frenyea); his siblings, James Agnew (Charles), Edward Agnew and Alice Austin; and his granddaughter Shannon Ohlsen.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah (Christopher Ohlsen), Elmer "Buck" Agnew, Jr. of Peru, Peter Agnew (Michele Harling) of Plattsburgh, Terri (Tom Hemingway), Frank Agnew of Morrisonville and Michele Agnew; his sister Elizabeth; and also Patrick Verrillo of Morrisonville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
