He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Defayette and Elaine Defayette (Gonyea); his granddaughter Joanie Defayette; and his brother-in-law Larry Graves. He is survived by: his wife Carol Defayette of Plattsburgh; his children, David Defayette (Deborah) of Plattsburgh, Scott Defayette (Amy) of Plattsburgh and Shery Liberty (Andrew Arno) of Mooers; his sister Nancy Graves of Plattsburgh; and his grandchildren, David, Justin Liberty, Samantha, Stephanie, Brandon and Stephen Defayette. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
