He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Yates and Blanche E. Yates (Gibson); and his wife Harriet Hart. He is survived by: his sons, Trevor Yates and Lyle Yates (Lori); his grandchildren, Cassaundra and Samantha; and his great grandchild Aiden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
