She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashley Hewitt Sr. and Dora Hewitt (Comstock); and her siblings, Ashley Hewitt Jr., Glen Hewitt, Carol Vassar, Lynn Labombard, Penny Blackstone, Margie Orlowski and Edwin Hewitt.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you please make donations in Candace's memory to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
