She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ackey and Mabel Ackey (Breyette); her husband Gilbert G. Defayette; and her siblings, Thomas, Raymond, Sonny, Clara, Edith and Helen.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Defayette (Jolene), Todd Defayette (Pauline), Tina Young (Elric) and Tricia Saucier (Roland); and her grandchildren, Jamie Saucier (Nic Warren) and Ryan Saucier. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
