He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Caroline; his brother Patrick; and his granddaughter Heidi Spitz. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Lyons Keilty; his children, Michael Keilty (Justyna), Suzanne Skradski (George), Katherine Spitz (Joseph) and Timothy Keilty (Brittany); his grandchildren, Genevieve, Charlotte, Paige, Penelope, Matthew, Colin, James and Timothy Jr.; his sibling Thomas Keilty (Ina); and his sister-in-law Carol Keilty.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ALS Association Greater New York Chapter.
