He was predeceased by: his parents, John K. Trubee and Marie Clarkson Trubee; and his sister Joan Trubee Ferland. He is survived by: his children, Marie Katherine "Kate" Trubee Gerew (Bill) of Pittsford and Michael Kenney of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Lauren, Jack Gerew, Joshua and Flynn Kenney; and his brothers, David Trubee (Elaine) of Maine and William Trubee (Sally) of Wisconsin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
