He is survived by: his wife Mary; his son Kevin Dunlap Rees (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Aedan, Abigail of Novato and Calif; his daughter-in-law Joan Rees; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Isabella and Harper of Ipswich, Mass..

“Dear Mary, I am saddened by Jim's passing. Jim was an integral part of my career at Xerox for almost 25 years as a mentor and confidant. No matter the severity of personal or work issues, Jim always had a smile on his face and a good word about everyone and could make any day tolerable. I'm glad I had the opportunity to have lunch with Jim a few times after we both retired, but disappointed we didn't do it more often. Kathy and I offer our condolences. Rich Spinelli”
