He was predeceased by: his wife Agnes Ackley (VanBranteghem); his children, Janet Ackley and John Edward Ackley; his son-in-law Robert Gallinger; and his brother James Ackley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Muir (John) and Catherine Gallinger (Daniel O'Brien); and his grandchildren, James (Paula Miceli), Nathan Muir, Jody and Brian Gallinger. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews.
