He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Rusling Sloan and Nathan Hoffman Sloan; and his siblings, Janet DeJonge and Jack Sloan. He is survived by: his wife Doris Sloan (nee McCarthy) of Piseco, NY; his children, Richard G. Sloan of Green Pond and Piseco and Doreen Lynn Sloan Newell (Scott) of Green Pond, NJ; and his grandchildren, Tanya D. Newell of Oak Ridge, NJ, Brandon P. Newell of Green Pond, Tyler C. Newell of Green Pond, Nathan S. Newell of Green Pond, Sarah M. Sloan of Green Pond and Sydney R. Sloan of Green Pond.
