He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clayton D. Petty and Anna Petty (Campbell); his daughter Melissa Bowen (Todd) of Pine Plains; his grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsey, Kinsey and Trent; his siblings, Curtis, Judith Hotaling and Linda Petty; his former wife June (Charles Dykeman); his son Michael J. Petty; and his siblings, Thomas and Katherine Britton. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
