He was predeceased by: his parents, George Christian and Myrtle Blackmar (Skinner); his wife Mary Eileen Packer; his son David L. Blackmar; his son-in-law Vincent G. Newland; and his brothers, Stewart W. Blackmar (Emily), Arnold F. Blackmar (Alice) and John Roger Blackmar.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth A. Blackmar (Marva) and Susan J. Newland-McCarty (Russell); his grandchildren, Michael P. Blackmar, David L. Blackmar (Catherine), Erin M. Curnan (Jeff), Vincent G. Newland and Nathan A. Newland (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Scott Blackmar, Ryan Blackmar, Lilliana Tagg, Jaxon Curnan, Benjamin V. Newland, Logan M. Newland and Abigail; and his sister-in-law Hazel Blackmar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
