He was predeceased by: his siblings, Walter Mackowiak, Edward Mackowiak, Floyd Mackowiak, Raymond Mackowiak, Stuart Mackowiak, Helen Hemenway and Dorothy Baker; and his nephews, Joe Stanley and Danny Hemenway.
He is survived by: his parents, Steven Mackowiak and Helen Wichtowski Mackowiak; his wife Dorotha Thomas Mackowiak; his sons, Ronald Mackowiak (Cynthia) and Tommy Mackowiak; his grandchildren, Matthew Mackowiak (Rachel), Stephen Mackowiak and Meghan Mackowiak; his great grandchildren, Liam Mackowiak and Owen Mackowiak; his sister Cecilia Whitted; and his sister-in-law Mary Mackowiak. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
