He is survived by: his wife Wendy Apelles; his pets, Rocky, Mocha and Bailey; his children, Katrina Futrell (Russell Futrell JR) and Gregory Apelles (Brittany Mercier); his siblings, Hans Apelles, Christel Bathrick and Traute Watson (Roy Watson); his granddaughters, Aurora Apelles and Everlee Futrell; and his aunt Dolly Moeller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
