It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Dores Gaspar (Pine Bush, New York), who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joana DeAbreu and Francisco DeAbreu (Ribeira Brava); and her husband Joe (Jose Roque Gaspar). She is survived by: her sister Oliva; her children, Frank Gaspar (Patricia) of Fruitland, MD, Jose R. Gaspar, Jr. (Janet) of Fort Myers, FL, Jaime A. Gaspar of Arizona, Maria Arlette Gaspar of Clarksburg, MD and Christina Gaspar (James Fishkin) of Washington, DC.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Schreiner (Mark) of Raleigh, NC, Jeffrey Gaspar (Lauren) of Cortlandt Manor, NY, Brandan Gaspar (Suzanne) of Dingman's Ferry, PA and Christopher Gaspar of Fort Myers, FL; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Rosina, Elizabeth, Colin, Benjamin and Caroline. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
