He is survived by: his parent Josephine Rush Rainey; his wife Belle Knapp Rainey; his children, Patrick Rainey of Daytona Beach, FL, Jack Pennings (Monica) of Warwick, Christopher Pennings (Monica) of Pine Bush, Kimberly Ann Rainey (Louis Bates) of Mariaville Lake, NY, Patricia Bates (Michael) of Newburgh, Barbara Rainey, Dave Hopper of Plattekill and Debra Grant (Tom) of Walden; his sister Cynthia Detz (Joseph) of Gardiner; his brother-in-law Dale Davidson of Pine Bush; and his grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Porey, Emily, Abigail, Kaelyn, Cammie, Christopher, Jacob, Jessica and Juliann. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
