He is survived by: his parent Dora Coy DeBates; his wife Anne Marie Felten DeBates; and his children, Mark Merring (Eileen) of Hubert, NC, Raymond Merring (Kathy) of San Antonio, TX, Ryan Merring (Jennifer) of Keystone Heights, FL, Robert McNeely of Walden, Debbie Henry (Norman) of Walden and Tracey Rankin (Michael) of Wurtsboro. He is also survived by several sisters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
