It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Father Bernardo Bonowitz (Piffard, New York), who passed away on January 19, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bonowitz and Irene Grace Brown Bonowitz. He is survived by: his sister Rochelle Brown-Friedman (Howard Friedman); his cousins, Andrea DePalma of New York City and Jay Benet (Jeane); his niece Erica Spritz; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan Morand and Lennox Spritz; his nephew Adam Brown (Jessica); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hudson and Harper.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Abbey of the Genesee. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at 3258 River Rd, Piffard, NY 14533.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abbey of the Genesee, 3258 River Rd., Piffard, NY 14533.
