He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Dalton and Sarah Dalton (Rabideau); his wife Betty M. Lang; his brother Thomas Dalton; and his nieces, Bridget and Becky Dalton.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy Groce (Charles) of Mars, PA and Sherry Lytle of Heuvelton, NY; his stepchildren, Beth Woolworth (Karl) of Constantia, NY and Michael McDonald (Sheila) of Pierrepont; his siblings, Janet Cratsenberg (Bill) of Calcium, NY, Rosemary Houghtaling (David Davis) of Evans Mills, NY, Warren and Michael Dalton of Philadelphia, NY; and his sister-in-law Barbara Dalton of Evans Mills. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
