He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Boardway and Kathryn Boardway Sr. (Smith); his son Ronald Boardway Jr.; and his siblings, Mary Pitcher and Charles F. Boardway Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Linda Koegel; his children, Matthew Boardway (Shauna) and Liz Boardway; his sister Marge Lambert (Michael); and his granddaughters, Lily Halstead and Hailey Halstead. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
